IP PBX Week in Review: ZYCOO, Sangoma, Yeastar & More
Welcome to the Week in Review, where we take a look at all the top stories making headlines in IP PBX this week.
This week saw some exciting news coming from ZYCOO. We’ve often discussed the many benefits of IP PBXs, and now ZYCOO has added another feature to that already long list. The company’s new ONS (one number station) feature helps make calling easier by reversing the SIP forking process. Now, multiple extensions can be used to call a single person, but everything is made simpler because there’s only one number involved. Find out more HERE.
Next up in ZYCOO news, the company’s Smart DID can be used to facilitate call returns. No one likes trying to call someone back, only to be greeted by an IVR and operator. A simple phone call can easily turn into a long, irritating process. ZYCOO hopes to remove this frustration with its Smart DID, which stores caller information and enables people to call them right back—no operators needed. Find out how it works HERE.
In other news, Yeastar is making some waves by making advances to its IP PBX. Yeastar announced this week the release of Linkus, a mobile voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) client geared toward readier connection of a mobile workforce. Making work easier for the mobile workforce is important, and not all companies are making the changes needed to help them perform at their best. Steve Anderson’s full coverage on how exactly this new IP PBX can help is HERE.
Finally, Sangoma Technologies announced that it will be purchasing the telecom assets of Micro Advantage, with the hopes of inheriting its cloud PBX customers. This is a logical move for everyone, companies and customers alike. “Since Micro Advantage already uses Sangoma’s equipment to provide our hosted service, our customers will be seamlessly brought onto Sangoma’s 24/7 infrastructure and benefit from the highest possible quality of service,” said Scott Holtzman, CTO at Micro Advantage. While a variety of topics have been highlighted here, that’s certainly not all that went on this week. Be sure to head to the IP PBX homepage for all the updates, and come back next week for the latest insights. Have a great weekend!
